SHIPPING TIME FRAME
Our chocolate is all hand made, wrapped and foiled, which means it could take some time for your order to be processed. Please be patient with us as we complete your order, and always feel free to email or call us if you have any concerns about your order!
Processing Time: 1-5 Business Days
We usually ship Monday – Wednesday to avoid orders being left in delivery trucks over a weekend.
Shipping Time: USPS Priority 1-3 Business Days
**COVID SHIPPING DELAYS**
Unfortunately, once your order leaves our facility, there is nothing we can do to speed up the US Postal Service. Should your order be delayed longer than 3 business days, the USPS claim page can be found here: File A Claim
We do NOT offer refunds for orders that have been delayed by the USPS.

PROCESSING TIME FRAME
Our standard processing time can take up to 1 week depending on product availability. We do our best to keep everything fully stocked and no back orders. We are a small business and it takes us time to make all products and pack them up.

WARM WEATHER SHIPPING
All our orders are shipped USPS Priority, in the Summer we only ship orders Monday – Wednesday so your order will not be in transit over the weekend.
NOTE: Due to the heat sensitivity of our products, when transit routes or destination temperatures are over 74 degrees F, a cold pack should be purchased, click here.
Willy Pete’s Chocolates is not responsible for orders once they are handed off to the USPS.
We recommend letting the package get to a cool room temperature, or to refrigerate prior to opening the chocolate bars.

What’s your return policy?
As our products are perishable, all food sales are final.
To make sure that you are satisfied with the product you receive, please inspect the contents as soon as your order arrives. Leaving packages with perishable items in a mailbox or outside for an extended period of time will result in melted chocolate.
We recommend letting the package get to a cool room temperature, or to refrigerate prior to opening the chocolate bars.
Willy Pete’s is not responsible for damage or loss as a result of shipments being returned or being undeliverable as a result of incorrect address information you supply to us, or for inability of a recipient to receive the package on the day you specify that it should be delivered. In the event a package is returned to us “Undeliverable”, we will ask the buyer to pay to re-ship it at their own expense.

Shipping Policy
Willy Pete’s Chocolate is delighted to deliver the chocolate you love! Our website offers only shipping within the USA as of now. However, if you send us an email to [email protected], we do offer International shipping and will provide you with a price quote.
We take care in making sure your chocolate is properly packaged and in excellent condition before handing it off to the delivery company.
Once the package leaves our hands to the delivery company, Willy Pete’s Chocolate is no longer responsible for the package.
LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS
Willy Pete’s Chocolates is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. Since the items are out of our control once they leave our facility, you will need to address any issues with the post office directly. Should you need a refund or a replacement, the claim should be filed directly with the post office. We do not offer any refunds or exchanges.

Any stolen, lost or damaged product due to customs mishandling is not the responsibility of Willy Pete’s Chocolate Co. Buyer must file a claim with UPS and send in all photos and documentation. Willy Pete’s Chocolates will provide shipping photos prior to it leaving our facility.

What is a Scoville Rating?
The Scoville scale is a measurement of the pungency (spicy heat) of chili peppers. All our chocolates include a Scoville Rating. We use a variety home grown and dehydrated peppers in most of our chocolates. We have labels that indicate how hot the rating is.

Can you send an allergen list?
We have found that allergen lists quickly become outdated as our product lines change over time. Rather than have you make purchase decisions based on outdated information, we encourage you to check the ingredient label on the package. This label provides accurate, current information about all the ingredients in the package.

How should I store my chocolate?
Solid chocolate products will maintain their quality if well wrapped and stored in a cool, dry place (55-60°F). While refrigerated chocolate is certainly safe to use, we don’t recommend it. Chocolate kept in the refrigerator may “sweat” when brought to room temperature.
Cocoa is considered a non-perishable item which should maintain quality if stored at room temperature in a tightly sealed container

How long will my chocolate last?
18 Months when properly stored in a cool dry place.
When chocolate is kept at a consistent temperature below 70°F (ideally between 65 and 68°F), and at a humidity of less than 55%, the emulsion of cocoa solids and cocoa butter will stay stable for months.
(Storage conditions & shelf life are listed for optimal product functionality, not food safety).
(Due to low water activity of this product, it is shelf stable, with no food safety related expiration date.)

Do you have Gluten Free/Dairy Free options?
We currently do not offer any custom Gluten Free/Dairy Free chocolate bars. We do have future plans for these varieties of chocolates, please continue to follow us for all our latest new release announcements.

Do These Chocolates Come With A Warning?
Yes. Since they contain spices, each flavor includes a spicy warning/disclaimer.

Do you sell Non-Spicy Chocolates?
Yes. We sell chocolate bars ranging from NO spice to warning level. Each flavor includes the Scoville rating, so please be sure to check the level before purchasing.
